Most of my energy these days has been directed toward completing my doctoral comps (just about finished). If ever there was a time to realize I am not super, this is it.
However, it is gratifying to know that my students still see me that way.
Below is a short book by Skye entitled Super Gary.
And doesn't that make you feel super? Kids have a way of seeing us in an engaging light even when we have self doubts. Whenever you aren't sure of how really great you are, you can reread Super Gary and remember!
Ms. M. - It made me smile too. She actually made a sequel (already) about Super Gary in the snow. And I get a medal and she colored it! Big smiles for sure.
Pauline - It does make me feel super. Better this than Evil Gary who is unkind to children and whatnot. I bet there have been a few Super Pauline books as well.
Tess - Ah, still about 2 years away from that title so for now it's just "Super" before my name. Still, not bad.
Barbara - You used my favorite word "ADORE". A powerful word that carries such meaning and warmth. And the sign is nice too.
Dumdad - I have changed the link on my sidebar. The new blog looks fantastic.
Angella - I just may hang this instead of my degree at the pace I am going. :)

Forget the Green Hornet, I'm putting my money on Super Gary or Dr. Gary!

Is it a bird, a plane? No, it's super Gary!! This is adorable. Congratulations, Dr. Gary!
I love the way kids can boost one's ego. They obviously adore you!
Super!
FYI,
I've closed my blog and opened a new one, also called The Other Side of Paris. This is my new home:
